Business and Enterprise

SACE Stage 1

At SACE Stage 1, Business and Enterprise is offered as a 10 credit (semester) subject. 

The study of Business and Enterprise allows students a number of pathways to post secondary study including TAFE and University courses and the world of work. The course looks at setting up and running a small business. It involves case studies and practical activities. Content may vary based on student interest, but could include an introduction to Business and Enterprise, Business Management and Communication, Marketing, Employment Relations, Entrepreneurship, Technology for Business, and Financial Planning and Management.

SACE Stage 2

The study of Business and Enterprise at Stage 2 allows students a number of pathways to post secondary study including TAFE and University courses and the world of work. The course aims to provide students with a broad understanding of the business environment as it relates to them. Students explore the structure and organisation of business coupled with the study of the work environment they will enter. The impact of technology on business and legal responsibilities are also covered. Emphasis is on student research and application. A major Business Report on a small to medium sized business is completed during the second semester. At Stage 2 there is no exam in this subject.
